capracare Launches “Be All In For Just 1” initiative to Inspire Greater Impact for Lifesaving Programs in Haiti

 

Fonfrede, Haiti – Monday, May 27, 2025 — In the face of deepening political turmoil and an escalating humanitarian crisis in Haiti, capracare has launched a bold and heartfelt 90-day campaign: “Be All In For Just 1.” This initiative invites supporters from around the world, longtime allies, philanthropists, and friends of Haiti to become ChangeMakers, committing to sustainable, life-saving support for the Haitian people during their most vulnerable moments.

“We’re calling on everyone who loves Haiti to stand with us—not just once, but consistently,” said Jean Pierre-Louis, MPH, Founder and CEO of capracare. “The crisis hasn’t ended—it’s changing. Right now, families are fleeing violence, women are at risk of cancer without screening, and children are being kept out of school because their parents have lost their jobs and homes in Port-au-Prince.”

Through this 90-day effort, capracare needs your contribution to:

 

Screen 200 Women Each Month

Provide cervical cancer screenings and follow-up care through mobile health clinics.

Send 50 Displaced Children Back to School
Cover school fees and supplies for youth displaced by gang violence in the capital.

Train 25 Emergency First Responders
Equip local community health workers with the tools and training to respond to urgent medical needs and natural disasters.
 

Starting at just $25 a month, each recurring donation brings consistent hope and essential services to communities on the front lines.

The Crisis Is Still Unfolding

As gang violence intensifies in Port-au-Prince, thousands are fleeing to southern regions like Fonfrede. These communities, already limited in resources, are now overwhelmed with need. With no national infrastructure to catch them, displaced women, children, and families turn to organizations like capracare for care, compassion, and community.
 

“After spending five months in Haiti, I’ve witnessed the strength and suffering of our people firsthand,” said Pierre-Louis. “Recurring donations don’t just help—they keep us going. They allow us to plan, respond quickly, and provide continuity in the face of chaos.”
